Abstract
The study of spatial characteristics of seismic attenuation has been performed in the NW part of Dobrogea, between Trotus fault and Peceneaga – Camena fault, on the boundary between East-European and Moesian tectonic plates. This study is based on a number of 105 recordings of the K2 network, using the recordings derived from 16 seismic events generated in the range 3 - 20 km. An estimation of the attenuation factor Q was made in the mentioned area, obtaining a value of 488 for the crust.
