Abstract

Large resource potential along with very difficult imaging due to complex salt geometries in the Gulf of Mexico (GOM) have led to extreme efforts in both acquisition and processing to improve the subsurface imaging. We present a case history with a wealth of data and intensive processing efforts. The talk is separated into acquisition, multiple attenuation and imaging discussions.
