Abstract
VSP data from the Hendijan oil field (Northwest of Persian Gulf) are used to estimate P-wave attenuation (Q-factor). From the spectral ratio and coherency Q inversion methods, estimated Q value was 90. This value is used in inverse Q-filtering procedure during the processing of 3D seismic data, which lead to remove the Q-effect and producing high-resolution surface seismic data.
