Geostatistical Simulation of Petrophysical Parameter (Porosity) in Gachsaran Oil Field by SGS Method

Abstract
Gachsaran oil field is located approximately in south-west part of Iran. The main reservoir of this field is Asmary formation. Petrophysical parameter which has been used in this study was porosity related to 21 wells. The average porosity reported as 9 percent. Before simulation of petrophysical parameters, some basic statistical analysis had been worked out. Directional variogram, anisotropy ellipsoid was determined and then by using SGS, 100 realizations of porosity were generated.
