Within the scope of the EU-INTERREG project BURVAL (see poster Wiederhold et al.) the aquifer structure of the buried valley Ellerbeker Rinne (important for the water supply of Hamburg) was mapped with seismic, gravity and resistivity methods. Especially the combination of results from reflection seismic and airborne electromagnetic (SkyTEM) was successful to delineate sandy aquifers and clayey covering layers inside the valley.
