Abstract
In this paper the gravity inversion method is used to invert the physical and geometrical parameters of an area consisted of a salt dome and nearby fault. The effects of these two geological features are separated by the technique of discreet wavelet filtering. A 3d nonlinear inverse method base on the structure of a sphere is used to invert the salt dome. And the method of infinite slab is used to reconstruct the displacement of the fault by estimating the thickness of sedimentary which covered the down faulted part, finally a linear inverse method is used to improve the physical parameter of the model.
