Abstract

In order to complete the geotechnical applications is necessary sometime to appeal to geophysical methods. In the situation presented in this article we have used electrometric and radiometric measurements for detecting the causes that induced important soil settlements and intensive cracks of a structure situated in the Poultry Breeding Complex Galati, Romania. Electrometric and radiometric measurements have relieved the presence of a waste water flow under the building which induce partially softening of soil foundation, mainly on the west side, causing unequal soil foundation settlement and longitudinally cracks on floor and bridging of the structure.
