Abstract

New technique for automatic suppression of footprints connected with acquisition geometry of 3D surveys is developed. The algorithms are based on footprint rejection in wave-number domain of seismic cube horizontal slices. Importance of acquisition footprint attenuation in geophysical interpretation and prediction of reservoir properties is illustrated and discussed.
