Abstract

The stratigraphic architecture of the Siluro-Devonian succession was studied in Algeria and Libya from outcrop sections, logs and sesimic data. A regional transect between the Libyan basins and the western Algerian basins is proposed, using also a new stratigraphic chart. The role of the sub-basins and arches are highlighted in these paleogeographic reconstructions.
