Abstract

We present an inversion scheme for controlled source electromagnetic (CSEM) data to picture anomalies in conductivity on a geophysical scale. The method is based on the scalar diffusion equation corresponding to the approximation of the vector wave equation governing electromagnetic wave propagation in conductive media in the ultra low frequency domain. The scheme is tested numerically with a homogenous background model.
