Abstract

In the work we present, we analyze the amplitude preservation issue of imaging algorithms. We use for that purpose synthetic data that are generated by Full-wave seismic modeling. A particular emphasize is placed on the model building step which is very challenging because there are few robust tools that are adapted to build large and complex models. A 3D full elastic Finite Difference scheme is used to generate the seismic data. These generated data are primarily used to test the amplitude preservation of imaging algorithms and for other geophysical applications as well. The main results will be presented.
