Abstract

Single-sensor seismic acquisition when properly sample the 3D wavefield allows for effective noise removal and the application of perturbations correction before group forming. The improvements in noise attenuation and its impact on increasing S/N and bandwidth of the signal-sensor data has already been demonstrated early on real seismic data from Kuwait (El-Emam et al 2008). The current study demonstrates the effect of solving the time perturbations before group forming and its impact on increasing the temporal resolution and signal fidelity.
