Seismic Study of Carbonate Reservoir Salinization

This work is devoted to the prediction of reservoir salinization based on seismic data. It’s demonstrated that the problem can be solved by combining acoustic inversion and AVO method. We used effective medium model of Kuster and Toksöz (Kuster and Toksöz, 1974) with pore filling with halite according to the Gassmann equation for the interpretation, and also thin sections, core and log data.
