Factors Affecting Tight Gas Reservoir Properties in Deep Laying Rotliegend Sandstones

Polish part of the Rotliegend Basin was examinated. Very good reservoir properties (porosity>10%) of Rotliegend sandstones were found for deep laying sediments(deeper than 4 000 m). Additionally non zero permeability were found on similar depth. It gives an assumption to extract factors which preserve such a good properties and to find theoritical formula for porosity in fuction of depth. At last contents of matrix and carbonate cements were found as a main destroying porosity factors. The theoretical curve for porosity vs depth with the use of this two factors as parameters was given. Factors upgrading permeability were also found.
