Abstract
In recent years, various methods have come up to suppress different types of multiple reflections in seismic data. Amongst all these methods, the surface related multiple elimination (SRME) is an effective method to remove multiple energy without any additional information about the subsurface. In this study, SRME was applied on North Sea shallow seismic datasets, where the methods based on a difference in spatial behavior of primaries and multiples can’t be used. Finally the imaging quality of the stacked section could be significantly improved after SRME processing.
