Abstract
The Cambrian terrigenous deposits of the Lviv Paleozoic Trough are assessed as potential reservoir rocks for oil and gas. However, at present hydrocarbon deposits were not discovered in them. One of the reasons is poor studies of petrophysical properties of rocks. The methods of executed investigations were composed of laboratory measurements of petrophysical parameters of rocks, their statistical analysis and the complex methods of interpretation using the results of mineralogical-petrographical studies and well logs. The Cambrian deposits are tight, strongly cemented rocks, and are characterized by low values of primary open porosity and permeability and by the presence of microfracturing.
