Abstract

Summary

This paper describes the result of seismic inversion and AVO analysis that were carried out using recentlyprocessed 3D APSDM data that was acquired using circular shooting and slanted cable techniques known as Coil & ObliQ survey. Three exploration wells were available for this study but only data from 1 well was used as calibration due to severe borehole washout and depth-shifting issue from the other two wells. Results from the seismic inversion were used to generate sand fairway probability volume, which are used as a de-risking tool to reduce geological uncertainties for the upcoming exploration/appraisal campaign.
