Abstract

Summary

Stochastic inversion has an advantage of having high vertical resolution due to making full use of the well logging data. While its lateral continuty is poor relatively beccause of the well logging data too. Compared to the conventional deterministic inversion , stochastic inversion uses the log values as the primary data and the seismic data has been the second data. In that way , its continuty has been weakened in some extent. In this paper, we first introduce how to get the lateral constraint. Then we explain the combination of FFT_MA algorithm with the constraint to get the priori information which has strong lateral continuty relatively. Finally, we obtain the inversion result through sampling from the posteriori distribution on the assumption of obeying a gaussian distribution of the priori information and likelihood function. We demonstrate our method with 2D data, and conclude that this lateral constraint is effective in stochastic inversion.
