Abstract

Summary

The constrained polynomial fitting leveling method is proposed in time-domain airborne electromagnetic data. The leveling technique is based on two preconditions, firstly the data are consistent between adjacent flight lines due to the continuity of geophysical field, secondly AEM data of time channels are correlative and subjected to the attenuate relationship. Based on the attenuate rule, the AEM data are constrained by adjacent channel and constitute pairwise constraint. Instead of leveling every channel data unrelated, the attenuate relationship between the adjacent channels integrates data leveling into a comprehensive process. Hence the constrained polynomial fitting leveling not only can level data as the conventional leveling but also successfully correct data based on attenuate rule.
