Abstract
On the east of East-European continent main oil and gas provinces and Ural folded belt were developing at the same time. Jointly analysis of continental geological data and results of palynspastic reconstrustions revealed Ural’s influences on tectogenesis and depositional settings around the East-European continent’s eastern margin. In Mid-Devonian beginning of ocean closing induced sea level rising and vast sea transgression on the continent: reservoirs, seals and source rocks began to form. Mid-Frasnian sea level high stand resulted in developing of deep water basins, which enveloped the continental margin and Domanic source rocks were formed. Many isolated reefs have grown inside deep water basins. Collision of microcontinent and arc inside the ocean induced Early Hercynian tectogenesis on the continent. It coursed a forming of reservoirs and structures, which control the bulk of oil reserves, explored in the provinces. Followed the ocean closing collision of the continents resulted in Late Hercynian tectogenesis and forming of reservoirs and structures, which control the bulk of explored gas reserves.
