Abstract

Essentially, applying assisted history matching technology for fractured reservoirs to achieve the inversion of fractures is an inverse problem with an inherent defect of multiplicity of solution. In order to alleviate the multiplicity and realize the success of inversion, it is necessary to apply appropriate matching parameters for the inversion of fractures. Therefore, we compare and discuss the inversion results corresponding to different combinations of matching parameters which are all representative parameters of fractures to determine the proper and effective matching parameters. Firstly, we simulate the flow behavior based on DFM model of MRST to explicitly describe the flow effect of fractures. Secondly, we study different combinations of parameters to represent the distribution of fractures and serve as matching parameters, and then establish the inversion objective function based on Bayesian theory. Thirdly, on the basis of improved SPSA algorithm, the inversion objective function is minimized and the inversion results of different matching parameters are obtained. Finally, the results of the fractures being successfully identified validate that the method is effective for the inversion of fractures, and the different matching results prove that the success of inversion is greatly depended on the matching parameters.
