Abstract

Summary

With the development of the seismic interpretation technology, a single technology could not satisfy the requirements of the reservoir prediction. More and more technologies are used jointly to improve the predicted accuracy. In this paper, we study a method of prediction by combining the Matching pursuit (MP) algorithm and the RGB blend technology. Firstly, the data is divided into three bands. Then, the MP algorithm is used to select the region with large amplitude though several iterations. This is the most important step and decides the final result. Based on this, the RGB attribute is calculated to give the information of frequency by means of color mixing or transition. A more accurate prediction can be given after analyzing the improved RGB attribute. The model and real data demonstrate that it is an effective method of reservoir prediction.
