Full Waveform Inversion to predict Reservoir Properties in Offshore Mozambique

Deepwater slope fan deposits are an underexplored play along the Chululu Margin of Mozambique. Since no local well calibration exists, any attempt to predict rock properties in the area is subject to some degree of uncertainty. Despite this limitation, we have employed two strategies to be able to determine estimates of rock properties from the seismic data, including: a) model-based predictions of rock properties, and b) Full-Wavefield Inversion (FWI).
