Abstract
Laoyemiao area is located in Bohai Nanpu depression northwest of Gulf Bohai China, which is an important oil and gas distribution zone in Jidong oilfield. High quality seismic data is the basis for oil exploration. Due to the complex faults, volcanic rock and strong lateral heterogeneity, seismic data acquired there has low S/N ratio and strong multiples. In order to improve the image quality, in this paper, specific prestack processing strategies was applied. Firstly, prestack inverse Q filtering was used with near surface Q model to compensate near surface absorption; secondly, robust deconvolution was used to improve resolution which can avoid boosting noise comparing to traditional deconvolution method; thirdly, general surface-related multiple prediction method was used to suppress multiples caused by three sets of igneous rocks which doesn’t work with radon transform based method. Based on proposed strategies, we provided the higher resolution and S/N images of Laoyemiao area for reservoir recognition.
