Abstract

Summary

This case study demonstrates the value of reprocessing narrow-azimuth seismic surveys acquired in 1997 over the southern Alaminos Canyon area, Gulf of Mexico. The objective was to obtain a high-resolution image and improved elastic properties estimation.

New technologies included, high resolution interpolation, FWI, geologically constrained high resolution tomography and adaptive beam migration. Results will be reviewed in this study as well as the prestack inversion analysis.
