Abstract

Summary

This study points to analyze petrophysical properties and to construct resistivity sections from the interpretation of well geophysical logs of a pre-salt carbonate reservoir in the Santos Basin - Southeast Brazil. In the interpretation, it was possible to characterize the reservoir in 6 flow units and elaborate two resistivity sections, which were founded on the laterolog and induction logs what examine the variation of resistivity within the reservoir at shallow, medium and deep depths of investigation. Nevertheless, both log responses showed higher resistivity values in the zones closer to the wall of the well, which occurs due to drilling mud invasion, since these layers have porosity and permeability values observed in laboratory tests ranging from 25 to 30 % and 0.1 to 900 md, respectively. The adopted methodology proved to be effective to identify the heterogeneities and the permoporous zones in this carbonate reservoir.
