Abstract

Summary

Cybernetic modeling (Data Mining) is widely used by TNG-Kazangeophysica LLC for 15 years. During this time, we have accumulated rich experience in solving various geological problems from geophysical, geochemical and remote studies. The article gives examples of the successful application of Data Mining in prospecting and exploration of hydrocarbon deposits. It is noted that the most appropriate use of Data Mining is in the study of “unconventional” sources of hydrocarbons, to describe which there is currently no adequate theoretical basis.
