Abstract
The paper attempts to define the most informative attributes of regional gravity and magnetic data in order to identify the most oil and gas potential areas in the sediments of the Bazhenov Formation (BF) and pre-Jurassic Complex (PJC). It is shown that in the studied region only successfully tested wells correspond to areas of high values of gravity field dispersion. Perhaps, the increased values of gravity field dispersion correspond to the zones of epigenetic changes associated with tectonomagmatic activation of the region. Additional inflow of heat and fluids raised along the tectonic faults confined to such zones. These faults could affect both BF and PJC thus providing necessary heating of BF and presence of PJC reservoir characteristics.
