Abstract

Summary

Autonomous seismic recording systems can be used in time-lapse feasibility studies to assess whether or not a given site is a good candidate for a larger scale monitoring project. Acquiring very high resolution (VHR) zero-offset and non-zero-offset seismic data over a test-site enables us to make repeatability assessments. Information from the latter may then be used as input to further simulation tests, whereby theoretical time-lapse signals (associated with property changes in near-seafloor sediments) can be investigated.
