Abstract

Summary

Several multidimensional regression equations have been proposed for predicting the logarithm of permeability and TOC from data on the mineral composition of the rock. The forecast is based on the numerical data of scientific publications of Chinese authors. In the course of the forecast, in all cases, the pyrite content is selected as a regressor. In the case of a composite sample, the forecast accuracy decreases, but replacing the regression with cluster regression allows for an increase in accuracy. The features and limitations of this approach are discussed.
