Abstract

Summary

High resolution seismic data enables better well ties, structural delineation, stratigraphic mapping and reservoir characterization. This study presents a workflow of using spectral broadening method on Yetagun Field, Myanmar to increase seismic resolution and resolve seismic thin beds. This method is capable to significantly improve the seismic resolution, thus enables more precise volume estimation by accurately capturing the sand continuity between wells. Several previously hidden features are extracted, which lead to better lateral continuity and confidence in the seismic interpretation.
