Abstract

Summary

This presentation summarizes the acquisition, processing and interpretation of time-lapse (4D) seismic data at the Chayvo field, Sakhalin-1. The Chayvo field is a large, complex, offshore field comprised of stacked reservoirs with multiple fluid contacts. The objective of the 4D processing was to support reservoir management of this stratigraphically complex field by detecting fluid movement and pressure changes. The 4D data successfully imaged both water and gas movement within the produced reservoir in all areas of the field (except beneath shallow gas) and is currently being used to support an active, ongoing drilling campaign.
