Abstract

Summary

An improved acquisition experiment of multi-level airgun source is conducted. And it is proved that multi-level array with 1:1.5 depth ratio of shallow and deep airguns can optimally suppress the source ghost and fill the notch in spectrum. Moreover, it makes the effect of streamer deghosting based broadband processing more stable by eliminating the influence of source notch. Finally, the low and high frequency is further enriched and the effective frequency band is greatly expended. The achievement of the optimization experiment plays an important guiding role in promoting the application of multi-level airgun source in marine seismic exploration.
