Abstract

Summary

In this work we present part of an ongoing research on the geology of the Parnassus Carbonate Platform (PCP) (External Hellenides, Greece), with regards to the mid-Cretaceous stratigraphic interval. The geological features, the outcrops quality and high quality of collected dataset indicate the Parnassus Mt as promising field analogue for the discovered and under-explored Cretaceous reservoirs of the Mediterranean area.
