Abstract

SUMMARY

The article examines the experience and possibilities of using Earth remote sensing and Geo-information Technologies (GIT) for the study of the change in the average level of the Black Sea in order to study the general tendencies of sea level elevation and the possibility of preventing the negative effects of the local increase in the level of the sea surface in the future. The methods of information processing used in the analysis of satellite altimetry data using GIT are formulated. Black Sea surface level anomalies is examined in merged all satellite altimetry missions data from 2008 to 2018.
