Abstract

Summary

Khizi-Altyagaj area of Azerbaijan is located in the South-Eastern part of Greater Caucasus. This mountain area with river valleys was formed by compressional regime after Miocene creating a system of folds and thrusts. They belong to Tithonian (Upper Jurassic) and Cretaceous ages.
