Abstract

Summary

The Candy Cane area of the Eastern Greater Caucasus is an attractive sight for the geologists and tourists. It is located at the Kilyazi-Xizi road. Cretaceous, mainly Albian to Cenomanian sediments outcrop here to the surface. Folded Upper Aptian red and greenish shale layers represent very spectacular picture. Those layers are famous for the belemnites, which can be found here in excess.
