Abstract

Summary

The value of an integrated reservoir characterisation is illustrated for this Sahara Algeria case study that makes full use of the high-resolution, broadband, full-azimuth, point-source point-receiver integrated acquisition and processing system seismic data combining rock physics, seismic interpretation, as well as amplitude variation with offset and amplitude variation with offset and azimuth inversion. The combination of the various techniques and disciplines allows for a detailed discussion of field development with considerations that would not be possible without this integration. The study reveals high-quality reservoir facies and natural fractures, crucial for field development in a low-porosity reservoir.
