Abstract

Summary

The mud cake on a well wall is formed in process of penetration of filtrate of drilling mud into layer. Porosity and permeability of cake have a considerable impact on a radial profile of specific electrical resistance. Experimental studies will help to determine these parameters and to establish their dependence on properties of layer and drilling mud. The work is devoted to the description of the installation for experimental study of the process of formation and properties of mud cake and the main results.
