Geological and geoelectrical and ground-penetrating radar studies were carried out on the northern slope of Starokyivska Hora in Kyiv, aside the building of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine. Deterministic modeling has been used to calculate the stability of the slope. The instability is indicated by the presence of cracks on the facade of the Museum`s building, the presence of puncture cracks within the slope according to the ERT results, and the calculated critical value of the factor of safety (FoS = 0.989) - under conditions of significant water saturation of the loess-like sandy loam horizon, on which the foundation of the Museum is actually laid. Such conditions may occur due to leakage from water supply and drain network of the Museum.
