Abstract

Summary

Analytical aquifer approach is applied to CO2 storage in saline aquifer. In addition to estimating CO2 storage resources ( ) it can also be used to estimate far field pressure propagation. For this purpose, we solve pressure equation in reduced form. Application is made to a danish hypothetical storage case. Implications are possible interferences with other usages of the subsurface and potentially reaching maximum pressure limits in shallow areas of the regional aquifer.
