Abstract

Summary

We use short-period seismic surface wave analysis from ambient noise and mine blasts recorded on novel nodal seismometers to provide valuable new insights into the debated topic of the formation of this world-class Cu-deposit and the tectonics of the African Copperbelt. We demonstrate that this novel technique is usable as a primary mineral exploration tool.
