Applying Truncated Gaussian Simulation on Forward Stratigraphic Models to Obtain Realistic History Matching Scenarios

The innovative workflow presented in this abstract is based on testing and validation of using truncated gaussian simulation (TGS) algorithm conditioned to forward stratigraphic models to obtain better representation of history matching scenarios. Several attempts were made were standalone TGS algorithm was applied to model reservoir properties on a Reefal carbonate, followed by conditioning seismic inversion outputs to TGS algorithm and finally applying TGS for distributing reservoir properties on a forward stratigraphic model.
