Abstract
The main stages of the history of mineral extraction in the Stebnytsky deposit of potassium salts are presented, man-made disasters at the Stebnytsk mining and chemical enterprise “Polymineral” that accompanied the process of developing salt deposits are mentioned. The possibility of using seismic monitoring to diagnose the condition of underground workings in similar hydrogeological conditions is substantiated, and practical examples are given. The method of seismic research, the development of a seismic monitoring system, and the arrangement of a seismic observation point in one of the technological premises of the enterprise are described. The catalogs of registered local seismic events and their visualization on maps of their epicenters obtained during the processing of seismic data using information from nearby seismic stations of the Carpathian regional seismological network “Morshin” and “Skhidnytsia” are given. It is shown that with the installation of 2 additional seismic stations, located on the territory of the nearby recreation complexes, the sensitivity of the seismic monitoring system improved and the number of registered seismic events on the territory of the emergency mine No. 2 increased. The option of the possible future of the region as a recreational and rest area is considered by analogy with similar man-made and emergency ones, in particular, an example of the creation and use of artificial water bodies is given. the city of Kalush. Conclusions were made in the mentioned directions.
