Abstract

Summary

The work presents the results of a study of the increase in the number of forest fires in the territories where hostilities are(were) taking place. The analysis of the impact of military actions on the forestry lands of Ukraine was carried out on the basis of geo-informational modeling of fire information for the resource management system (Fire Information for Resource Management System - FIRMS). The total number and distribution of fires by regions and months in 2021 were compared. - 2023 using GIS. A map of total fires on forestland for 2022 was created and it was established that the largest number of forest fires was recorded in the Luhansk (2121), Donetsk (2060), Kyiv (1948) and Kharkiv (2208) regions. It was established that compared to the same period in 2021, the number of fires in all regions of Ukraine increased.
