Abstract

Summary

Modern approaches to monitoring the state of forest resources based on the remote sensing data of the Earth by means of geo-information technologies are considered. The main methods of remote research of forest resources are presented, and the importance of using RSD in combination with GI-technologies are argued. The advantages and disadvantages of using different software to perform the tasks are given.
