Abstract

Summary

In the last decade the ecological and technogenic safety problems in industrial and urban agglomerations on the territory of Ukraine has become more acute because of the natural and man-made factors (global climate change; mass closure of mines; industrial and household waste accumulation; technical state deterioration of water supply, sewage and heat energy systems, e.g., in recent years there has been an increase from 15…20 % to 25…30 % in water losses from communications; industrial and residential buildings stock aging, e.g., the number of old residential buildings is 46,449 units). The monitoring observations demonstrate a tendency towards these negative natural-technogenic processes activation on a spatio-temporal scale and an increase, first of all, of inundation areas, subsidences, landslides and other dangerous phenomena. During seventeen months the engineering and geodetic measurements of the pit enclosure grid deformations at the office center construction site at 13–15 Bolsunovska Street in the Pecherskyi District of Kyiv have been carried out due to the need to measure the pit enclosure grid deformations, which was caused by the site complicated engineering and geological conditions and significant pit deepening.
