Abstract
The that geographic information systems are an effective tool that allows combining a significant volume of spatial data information and creating a model for representing different boundaries when defining the boundaries of communities. A list of sources of information about various spatial layers in determining the boundaries of communities is provided. Groups and subgroups of spatial analytical information necessary for establishing the boundary of a community’s territory are highlighted, including conditional boundaries of the community’s territory, boundaries of administrative-territorial units, boundaries of land plots, and orthophoto plans of the buffer zone for boundary verification. The implementation of a geographic information system in establishing the boundary of the Irpin municipal territorial community with the allocation of possible refinement zones for boundary alignment is demonstrated.
