Abstract

Summary

In order to clarify the chronological and spatial relationship between tectonic and magmatic activity within the western part of the Ukrainian Shield, the results of tectonophysical studies of the Sushchany-Perga, Zvizdal-Zalissya, and Brusyliv fault zones, the Novohrad-Volynsk granitoid massif, and the gabbro-anorthosite and rapakivi granites of the Korosten pluton are presented on the example of the Volyn Domain. As a result, changes in the stress-strain state in space and time and the main tectonic processes that took place in the Volyn Domain in the Paleo- and Mesoproterozoic in the period 2.05–1.73 Ga were reproduced. Geological and geophysical studies of different years regarding the regularities of dyke swarms placement were also analyzed. It was established that dykes swarms of the main composition control the zones of discontinuous disturbances of the Precambrian shield foundation, mainly in the northeast and northwest directions.
