Abstract

Summary

Modern tectonic movements are the cause of activation of dangerous geoecological processes in mining regions. These movements can only be assessed based on results of geological-geophysical and geomorphological research of fault-block tectonics features. Tectonic basis for predicting directions of dangerous geoecological impact of mining enterprises and effective methodology for processing information about features of fault-block tectonics are necessary. According to rotational hypothesis of structure formation (by Tyapkin K.F.) in definite tectonic epoch under influence of planetary stress-forces, there is stirring up of Earth crust’s faults systems formed earlier. There are clearly six fixed systems faults in Ukrainian shield. Each system consists of faults of two mutually orthogonal directions. For spatial processing of the information the unified scale of weighting coefficients (“weights”) of various groups of features (indicators) of fault systems has been work out. Using Kryvyi Rih-Kremenchuk and Orikhiv-Pavlohrad faults (the largest faults of Ukrainian shield southeast) as an example, it is shown that revealed spatial variability of averaged sums of fault systems weights can be the basis determination of priority directions of dangerous geoecological impact in development of systems environmental monitoring of mining regions.
